Do you plate the inside of a ring as well as the outside?
Yes. The whole piece goes into the tank, so the band is covered inside and out. The inside is where wear usually shows first on a ring worn daily, which is often what prompts the replate.
Can you replate a watch case and bracelet?
Yes. Cases, bezels, bracelets and clasps are regular work. The movement is removed before plating, and resealing for water resistance is a job for a watchmaker afterwards, so tell us if it is a watch you swim with. Send photographs of the case back and bracelet ends when you enquire.
Can you replate a wedding ring with stones in it?
Usually yes, but each piece is assessed first. Some settings and some stones do not tolerate the process, and where that is the case we tell you before you send it rather than after.
How much does it cost to replate a ring in Fleet?
